Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’ve Read Since Blogging

Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.

1) Adorkable by Sarra Manning
I read Adorkable by Sarra Manning pretty recently and I just loved everything about it. The two main characters were brutal and real and hilarious. The writing was hilarious. The story was pretty much relatable and I just fell in love with everything about Adorkable.

2) Blood Red Road by Moira Young
Blood Red Road is a dystopian that I will definitely compare to all future dystopians. I just got so sucked into the story and the beautiful, strange, hard to grasp writing style. And the protagonist! Her courage, strength, and loyalty broke my heart.

3) Anna and the French Kiss (and Lola and The Boy Next Door) by Stephanie Perkins
I’m sorry, is this cheating to have both these books count as one? Honestly, I loved Anna and the French Kiss AND Lola and the Boy Next Door, and quite frankly, I refuse to decide between the two!

4) Cinder by Marissa Meyer
I thought Cinder was AMAZING. I was so surprised and impressed with how much I really got into Cinder and how the story sucked me in so quickly. Cinder is an amazing futuristic retelling and I can’t wait to re-read it!

5) Fixing Delilah by Sarah Ockler
I am a Sarah Ockler fangirl and every book she writes reminds me why. But with Fixing Delilah especially I just love her writing style so much. What a beautiful book.

6) Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
Honestly, before I started blogging I thought Hex Hall sounded kind of silly. But all the reviews I read of Hex Hall convinced me otherwise and I am so glad! Hex Hall is one of my favourite witchy reads – full of humour, swoon, and lots of great plot!

7) Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill
I feel like Meant to Be makes every single Top Ten Tuesday post I write. This is me in book form.
8) Saving June by Hannah Harrington
One of my favourites for sure! I loved Saving June. It’s beautiful, emotional, and had one of my favourite literary couples of all last year!

Haha, Adorkable sounds awesome! I’d buy that just because of the title! Don’t you love when a book has such a great title?

I still need to read ‘Lola’- may have to go buy the Kindle copy because I think I have procrastinated enough over its purchase! I am in the mood for some cuteness in my life

I really want to read the books you listed, well not all of them, but most! :)
Especially Mean To Be. It looks and sounds so cute and loveable. I need to get that book. Anyway, great list.

Adored Anna but Lola didn’t work as well for me. I’ve really high hopes for the third book. Big fan of unrequited love. :) Great list.

Great list – I love fairytale retellings so Cinder will be going into my amazon basket!

Oh my goodness, I’ve only read two from this list: Anna and the French Kiss and Cinder. But I have several of them waiting for me! Blood Red Road, huh? I’ve been in the mood lately for a good dystopian. Seems like I’ve been reading lots of fantasies and contemps lately.

Ooooo how did I forget Cinder! Ahhh and I need to read Sarra Manning soon.

Stephanie Perkins is an incredible writer. I fell in love with both Anna & Lola, and I’m definitely looking forward to reading about Isla (since I’m sure it’ll be awesome!)
And I just read Cinder recently – it was AMAZING. Dying to read Scarlet and see what happens next!

Ooh, BLOOD RED ROAD! Excited to read the sequel! I love Stephanie Perkins! She came so close to making my list! CINDER was also fantastic. Can’t wait for the rest of the quartet! Ack, I still need to read SPELLBOUND! I want to re-read the first two HEX HALL books first and just haven’t been able to make time for them all! I still have TEH VESPERTINE sitting on my shelf to read, too. Victoria Wchwab made my list! I’ll have to check out these other titles since I like so many of the books on your list!

I love that you have Hex Hall and The Verpertine books on here. I loved them, but sadly, they didn’t make the cut out of almost 400 books. I don’t love them any less though. Great list!

Great list! Blood Red Road and Cinder made it on my top ten and Hex Hall and Anna and the French Kiss got honorable mentions. This was a hard one…only 10? Right!

I loved Cinder too! A lot of these books are ones I’ve seen over and over again but have resisted reading on the basis of being romances. I may just have to give in and read Adorkable and Lola and the Boy Next Door Here’s Mine

Adorkable sounds fantastic. I love to read books that are laugh-out-loud funny.

Love your post. I’ll admit I have read exactly none of the books on your list, but “The Lost Girl” looks interesting.
I’m actually an author as well as a blogger. Looking for good readers to let me know their thoughts on my work or the work of my fellow authors. If you’re at all interested, I’d be willing to supply a digital copy of one of our novels. Pick one out at engenbooks.com if interested. I write YA thrillers.
Again, love the post.

Pshh. It’s okay to put Anna and Lola in the same number. I did it too :P Plus Anna and St. Clair are in both, so it kind of counts :P
I thought Hex Hall sounded silly when I started too, but after so many people told me to read it I decided to give into peer pressure and ended up loving it!
