272Jacinda was supposed to bond with Cassian, the “prince” of their pride. But she resisted long before she fell in love with Will—a human and, worse, a hunter. When she ran away with Will, it ended in disaster, with Cassian’s sister, Miram, captured. Weighed down by guilt, Jacinda knows she must rescue her to set things right. Yet to do so she will have to venture deep into the heart of enemy territory.
The only way Jacinda can reach Miram is by posing as a prisoner herself, though once she assumes that disguise, things quickly spiral out of her control. As she learns more about her captors, she realizes that even if Will and Cassian can carry out their part of the plan, there’s no guarantee they’ll all make it out alive. But what Jacinda never could have foreseen is that escaping would be only the beginning….
Loyalties are tested and sacrifices made in the explosive conclusion to Sophie Jordan’s Firelight trilogy. – Goodreads
It’s really, really hard for to accept that this series is over. I shut Hidden by Sophie Jordan and immediately wished for more. I want to know what happens to Jacinda next, and Cassian, and Tamra! I need to know!
Like with Firelight and Vanish, I am totally Team Cassian all the way. I have the worst luck when it comes to love triangles cause I always pick the wrong guy. BUT I DON’T CARE. Despite Jacinda’s feelings for Will, I remained Team Cassian throughout the entire series.
Anyway, back to the story. A LOT happened in Hidden. It picked up basically right where we left off in Vanish, thank goodness, because what an ending that is. And then there was almost no downtime throughout Hidden because there were rescue attempts and escapes and fighting and twist after twist, dude. I thought Sophie Jordan really amped it up in Hidden.
There was lots of character growth in Hidden. Whereas with Firelight and Vanish, they were all still trying to figure things out, but in Hidden I thought everyone kind of figured out who they were, what they wanted to do, and where they belonged, you know? I loved that aspect of it and I really felt like I grew with them throughout the whole series.
I thought Hidden was a brilliant ending to Sophie Jordan’s series, full of action and character growth and twists galore.

This book is the next book on my reading list (I’m halfway through The Raven Boys, and it’s awesome). I’m glad you liked Hidden – sometimes the last book in a series can be a MAJOR let down.
Great review. Can’t wait!

I hadn’t even known this book had come out so when I saw you had written a review on it, I had a big fangirly moment. Personally I didn’t really like Jacinda in Vanish so I just hope I grow to love her like I had in Firelight. Will definitely be reading this book though.
