(This post was slightly inspired by The Story Siren’s “Books to Pine For” feature.)
Each month, a LOT of books are published. Sometimes it can be a lot to wade through to find the good ones, so I’ve compiled a list of a few young adult books coming out this month.
Obviously this is not every young adult book coming out this month, but these are some that I am personally excited for and I know most of you guys are too. Feel free to comment if you have any suggestions for this list! Please note that sometimes a publishing date will change and I won’t always catch it while compiling the list.

February 02: Harbinger by Sara Wilson Etienne (Putnam)
Goodreads | Amazon
I’m just going to go ahead and say this – even my boyfriend said this book sounded awesome.
February 07: Dead to You by Lisa McMann (Simon Pulse)
Goodreads | Amazon
I haven’t read any YA by Lisa McMann, but this book sounds intense and emotional and awesome.

February 07: The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily M. Danforth (Balzer + Bray)
Goodreads | Amazon
I have heard such unbelievably fantastic things about this book and the trailer is amazing and I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on it.
February 08: In Too Deep by Amanda Grace (Flux)
Goodreads | Amazon
My emotions were all over the place while reading this book. I want more people to read it so we can discuss, ASAP!

February 07: Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood (Putnam)
Goodreads | Amazon
I LOVED this book. If you like witches and historical fiction, you want this. Also, swoon-worthy boys.
February 08: Pure by Julianna Baggott (Grand Central Publishing)
Goodreads | Amazon
This book is INTENSE. And heartwrenching and terrifying and all around amazing.

February 14: Scarlet by A.C. Gaughen (Walker)
Goodreads | Amazon
Retelling of Robin Hood? I’m so in.
February 14: The Vanishing Game by Kate Kae Myers (Bloomsbury)
Goodreads | Amazon
Creeptastic. The summary gave me goosebumps.

February 14: Above World by Jenn Reese (Candlewick)
Goodreads | Amazon
GUYS. This sci-fi sounds AMAZING. Plus I’ve been meaning to branch out into more MGish books, and I just can’t wait to read it!
February 14: Brave New Love edited by Paula Guran (Running Kids Press)
Goodreads | Amazon
Already pre-ordered. I don’t read a lot of anthologies, but I can’t wait for this one.

February 16: The Fine Art of Truth or Dare by Melissa Jensen (Speak)
Goodreads | Amazon
EEP.
February 16: The Disenchantments by Nina LaCour (Dutton Juvenile)
Goodreads | Amazon
This book rocks. It’s so REAL. Like Nina LaCour hung out in a van of teens for a few weeks and stole their life story real. Loved it.

February 21: A Beautiful Evil by Kelly Keaton (Simon Pulse)
Goodreads | Amazon
I haven’t read the first book, but I need to! I’ve heard good things.
February 21: Fever by Lauren DeStefano (Simon & Schuster)
Goodreads | Amazon
This book broke me so badly. I was a mess and I loved it.

February 21: Faery Tales and Nightmares by Melissa Marr (Harper)
Goodreads | Amazon
I haven’t read any Melissa Marr. Please don’t hurt me. But maybe seeing how you guys like this book will spur me to pick up her Wicked Lovely series.
February 28: When the Sea is Rising Red by Cat Hellisen (Farrar, Straus and Giroux)
Goodreads | Amazon
There is so much craziness going on in this book, just in the summary, and I can’t wait to read it.

February 28: Shooting Stars by Allison Rushby (Walker)
Goodreads | Amazon
A teenage paparazzi? I’m very intrigued.
February 28: Partials by Dan Wells (HarperTeen)
Goodreads | Amazon
I am so stoked.

February 06: The Rivals by Daisy Whitney (Little, Brown)
Goodreads | Amazon
Loved it! Check out my review if you need to know more.
February 16: Trafficked by Kim Purcell (Viking)
Goodreads | Amazon
This book is going to break me.

I’ve read Dead to You and The Disenchantments already and both were really good. I’m sure you’ll enjoy both (if you haven’t already).

I’ve read The Disenchantments, but I am still super excited for it’s release so everyone else can read it! That book is SO AMAZING.

Yes! Scarlet and Faery Tales and Nightmares were both on my most anticipated reads for the year list, not to mention my excitement for others like Harbinger. It’s going to be a HUGE month for books. Good thing it’s a leap year. :P

Oh lordy so much wonderful here.
First of all, I think I’ve made myself clear on how I feel about Pure.
I’m reading Harbinger right this second. Like, now.
I read The Vanishing Game and it is creepy!
The Disenchantments was the first book I read this year and my first contemp since I vowed to try more of them. It was great!
When the Sea Rises Red was insanely INCREDIBLE.
And Fever WRECKED me so hard. So, so hard. Oh my gracious. I can’t…I can’t even…
And I want to read ALL of the other ones too. Not enough time in the day.

All the buzz around Harbinger has me really excited to read it.
I’m super excited for Pure. Then again, I’m excited for almost every dystopian release :P
The Vanishing game sounds so creepy and awesome.
Above World: underwater adventures FTW!
Fever! I seriously can’t wait to get my hands on this one!
Shooting Stars looks so cute!
Partials adds another tally to the dystopian list :]

I agree with a lot of these choices! I’m probably most excited for FEVER and TRAFFICKED, but also cannot wait to read WHEN THE SEA IS RISING RED, PURE, BORN WICKED, IN TOO DEEP, and FAIRY TALES & NIGHTMARES. One title that I didn’t see up here which I am pumped for is GRAFFITI MOON by Cath Crowley. Thanks for sharing your choices with us, Tara!
