I am so excited to kick off the tour for The Fine Art of Truth or Dare by Melissa Jensen! I seriously loved her first book, Falling in Love with English Boys (review here) and The Fine Art of Truth or Dare is just as good!

So check out a “This or That” post with the protagonist, Ella, and enter to win a copy of The Fine Art of Truth or Dare!

Ella is nearly invisible at the Willing School, and that’s just fine by her. She’s got her friends – the fabulous Frankie and their sweet cohort Sadie. She’s got her art – and her idol, the unappreciated 19th-century painter Edward Willing. Still, it’s hard being a nobody and having a crush on the biggest somebody in the school: Alex Bainbridge. Especially when he is your French tutor, and lessons have started becoming, well, certainly more interesting than French ever has been before. But can the invisible girl actually end up with a happily ever after with the golden boy, when no one even knows they’re dating? And is Ella going to dare to be that girl? – Goodreads

This or That with Ella

Rain or Snow?

Rain. I’m barely 5’1”. You know those piles of snow that come up to an average person’s knees? Can you imagine the humiliation of needing help to get out of them? Not to mention the frozen butt.

New York or London?

New York. I mean, I want to go to London someday. I will absolutely go to London one day. But I really really want to go to NYU to study art.

Van Gogh or Renoir?

Willing. I know, you’ve probably never heard of him. He’s amazing. Come to Philly. I’ll take you to see his stuff at the museum.

Green eyes or brown eyes?

Green with brown. Hazel. That kinda crinkle up at the corners when he smiles. Or when I screw up conjugating French verbs and he really wants to get snarky, but doesn’t…Sorry. Got a little distracted there. Next?

Werewolves or witches?

No thanks.

Cake or cupcake?

Tastykakes Butterscotch Krimpets. Trust me.

Hair up or down?

Down. Down down down down. Every day, all the time. With really good reason.

Driving or flying?

Frequent flying. Someday. Anywhere over a very large ocean. I don’t have a car and I live right smack in the middle of a big city, so I don’t need to drive that much. Sadie has a BMW, but the battery’s usually dead because she never uses it.

Pen or pencil?

Charcoal pencil. It’s kinda halfway between A Fleeting Moment and There Forever.

Night or day?

Late afternoon. That’s when most of the good stuff in my life starts.

Canvas or sketchbook?

Sketchbook. Here, I’ll show you. These are my doors. Yeah, I draw doors. You can skip that. And that. But this…this is Alex Bainbridge. Yeah, I know. Believe me, I know…
