Yay! Time for another Blog Hop and Follow Friday! This is actually my first time participating in Blog Hop, which is hosted by Crazy for Books and Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee :) These are fun weekly memes that allow bloggers to find other cool bloggers to befriend and talk to :)

This week’s Follow Friday question is…”What do you do besides reading / reviewing as a hobby?

I love to write, and I’m big on film. Really, really big on film. I enjoy watching and analyzing and writing about film. Also, I enjoy taking pictures of food.

(Button made by the AWESOME Lindsi at Books, Sweets, and Other Treats)

These are the books I am planning reading for the 2011 Debut Author Challenge.

There’s a lot of them, I know. I just couldn’t narrow it down. My goal is to read at least 20 of them. We’ll see!

I might add or remove books at any time.

You can sign up for the 2011 Debut Author challenge at The Story Siren.

Pink titles mean I’ve read them.

Bolded pink titles means they’ve been reviewed and clicking on them will take you to a review.

This week’s Follow Friday question is…”What is your usual monthly book budget?

I…don’t have one. I really should do some sort of budget, but I’ve had giftcards for the past couple of weeks, so it hasn’t been an issue. I’m on an official book buying ban though, so I guess as of right now, it’s $0. Except for giftcards.

This week’s Blog Hop question is…”If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?

Absolutely! I hate starting a series in the middle just like I hate watching movies and TV shows if I haven’t started from the very beginning. If it I think it’s interesting enough to start in the middle, then I’ll think it’s interesting enough to start from the beginning.

Things on my blog this week:

Review: The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
Review: Deadly Little Secret by Laurie Faria Stolarz
Extra: Fragment Friday (link coming soon)
Extra: Avalon High by Meg Cabot
Extra: The Class of 2K11
Extra: Bumped by Megan McCafferty
Extra: Waiting On Wednesday (Entwined by Heather Dixon)
Extra: In My Mailbox (November 06)

Please feel free to comment and/or follow! I will try to get back to you as soon as possible!

Each year groups of middle grade/young adult debut authors band together. They create a community where they all post updates and share reviews and exciting news about each other’s books. There’s been the Tenners, the Class of 2k9, the 2009 Debutantes, and so on. And now there’s the Class of 2K11.

The Class of 2k11 includes many anticipated 2011 books, such as XVI by Julia Karr, Memento Nora by Angie Smilbert, Bad Taste in Boys by Carrie Harris, The Mephisto Covenant: The Redemption of Ajax by Trinity Faegen, Popular by Alissa Grosso and many more!

You can visit their official website at http://www.classof2k11.com to read their blog, sign up for monthly updates, and enter to win prizes.
